Rotary Vintage Community Garage Sale
In association with the City of Richmond Hill, we organized the Community Garage Sale this year at RIBFEST on Saturday, July 22, 2023. This was our first experience with RIBFEST and we had very little time to arrange all logistics, Vendors marketing and set-up. However we did it, and probably it is one of our best shows in town. We gained a lot of awareness of Rotary in our community, made new friends and raised significant funding for the good of the club, who provide humanitarian support to our Internally and local projects.
This was only possible without the help of our dedicated members, friends of Rotary and Senior Tamil association friends and of course of great support by our Sponsors,
special thanks to City of Richmond Hill - Dan DiRuscio & Risa Healey, Glen Waugh, Dr. CP Giri, Richard Housen & Paul Vyrostko.
For further details, please refer to our presentation during our zoom meeting on Jul 31. or a recap email  Tue, Aug 1, 8:01 AM

Membership Minute
This year, we are encouraging our club members to create a culture of care, members are more likely to stay if their club experience is fulfilling, using these ideas to help members feel involved, valued and cared for: it is our efforts this year to listen to our members, engage them at every stage, taking actions by making significant changes, our meetings around our membership, our projects and towards our activities. It is highly recommended to everyone to please attend our meetings, as otherwise you may feel disconnected as we are galloping towards our finish line and you do not want to miss the Action.
We are out-reaching to every single Dignitaries, community leaders, politicians and various cultural and other organizations to strengthen our club membership.
Stay tuned! for a big surprise, as we are working very hard to make Rotary club of Richmond Hill a vibrant club with enough strength to sustain the workload of our activities, plus this will reduce our operational cost to minimum. We are introducing yet a again new avenue of resources. Please help us to bring the decorum of Rotary standards back as during and after Covid, the total culture is changed and we need to re-organize ourselves. Once the ambiance of our membership represents the true landscaping of our community, which is changing very quickly. We can promise you this club would be one of the best clubs in our District. It is our goal this year to bring back all the 10 members who left us last year by making a viable understanding on a case to case basis and to induct at least 10 new members of various different backgrounds.
As most of you while, discussing different subjects, also mentioned about the cost, we assure you that we will do everything to have our membership charges as affordable as possible, as we understand everyone is feeling the pinch due to inflation, economy and cost of living.
Please check your contact list and invite them to our activities. We will keep on improving our fellowship activities more and more, for the good of our club and for our members and family.
