Announcements
1. Rotary Beerfest

The Beerfest committee met August 26th 2021 to discuss the feasibility of holding this year’s event on October 2, 2021. After much deliberations as to the pros and cons of doing so, the committee is now recommending that the event be postponed until the winter (target date January 2022) in order to allow for more effective planning and management of the challenges arising from the pandemic and improving the chances of us having a successful event.

The committee plans to continue meeting on the last Thursday of each month to plan and prepare for a winter event.

360 Kids / Night Stop

360Kids has been accredited as the first Night stop provider in Canada. Night stop provides a safety net for those forced to leave their home by offering emergency accommodation. Night stop places young people in a safe and warm home for the night, provided by a vetted and approved volunteer.

It prevents young people from sleeping on the streets, “couch surfing”, or staying in unsuitable accommodations where they would be at risk of abuse. The use of spare rooms in a positive environment makes a huge difference to young people in crisis.

3. Fill a Purse for a Sister campaign
The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill is collecting purses for the “Fill a Purse for a Sister Campaign”. Can you please help us?
Brings comfort, hope and dignity to women and youth in crisis with the gift of purses filled with personal necessities.
