At our meeting this week, we had a fascinating presentation by Dr. Goldie Nejat, Assoc. Prof. of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada Research Chair in Robotics for Society, and Director, Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics. She talked about some of the exciting robotics applications that are currently being developed. One example is to use robot rovers to assist with search in disaster relief environments.
